Studybuds was founded by Kwame Sarpong, an experienced educator with over two decades of teaching, tutoring and educational consultancy experience.

Kwame has taught and supported students across primary, secondary and post-16 education, working in a wide range of schools throughout England, including The BRIT School. Alongside his classroom experience, he has advised families as a private tutor and worked within the education technology sector, giving him a broad understanding of both traditional and modern approaches to learning.

Throughout his career, Kwame has worked with students of varying abilities, including those preparing for GCSEs and other key academic milestones. His philosophy is that exceptional tuition should not simply improve grades, but also cultivate confidence, intellectual curiosity and the habits of an independent learner.

Recognising that many families found it difficult to identify tutors who combined academic excellence with professionalism and the right personal fit, Kwame established Studybuds to provide a more thoughtful, personalised and carefully curated tutoring service. Every tutor is selected not only for subject expertise but also for the ability to inspire, challenge and build meaningful relationships with students.
